A storey building on Atiken Road, Sabon Gari area of Kano State was gutted fire in Tuesday destroying valuables and leaving a number of occupants homeless.

According to reports, the victim Mrs Mary Nneji, 38, fainted but was later revived. There is no record of death.

Firefighters arrived on the scene with two tankers but were unable to put out the fire, The Nations said.

Neighbors assisted in rescuing the victims.
