VeryDarkMan was not arrested – Police clarifies

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has dismissed the rife reports that Nigerian influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, VDM, was arrested.

Recall, reports emerged in the early hours of Sunday, June 20 that the social media commentator was arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Police for allegedly exposing a criminal act.

The police have, however, cleared the air stating that Verydarkman was only invited for questioning.

This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh.

She disclosed that VDM was invited to respond to questions over allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying and defamation of character.

She added that he was immediately released after he made his statement.
