Lagos was thrown in shock due to a pipeline explosion which occurred early on Sunday Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of the state.
At the time of this report, it has not been ascertained if any person was caught in the midst of the explosion.
MyNigeria.com, at this moment, cannot confirm the cause of the explosion as we await an official announcement from the Lagos State Government and members of the fire service.
The fire service tweeted that its officers are at the scene of the explosion, urging people to stare clear of the area:
"We are in touch with our men in Fire Stations around Badagry and Festac, we are trying to gather more information as regards the reported explosion in Lagos State, Nigeria. We are on it."
