South African club Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reignited their interest in Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

Kaizer Chiefs were among the frontrunners in the race to sign the Nigerian goalkeeper from their PSL rivals Chippa United last season.

The Chiefs, however, pulled out of the race to sign the 28-year-old due to the hefty fee placed on him.

Nwabali later signed a new three-year deal with the Chili Boys.

Stanley Nwabali attracted the attention of his suitors following his remarkable campaign at the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.

The former Enyimba shot-stopper has maintained his impressive form from last season by recording four clean sheets in 11 league appearances this season.
