Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers may return to the Italian Serie A as emerging reports have linked him with a move to Cagliari.

Dessers previously played in the Italian topflight with Cremonese two seasons ago before joining Rangers last season.

The 29-year-old had a respectable campaign with the Scottish giants, scoring 22 goals and providing nine assists in 54 appearances across all competitions.

However, according to reports, Dessers is seeking to leave Ibrox Stadium after just one season.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoweb reports that Cagliari have expressed interest in acquiring his services and have inquired about his availability.

The Super Eagles striker could be available for a transfer fee in the region of €5m.
