The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has tragically lost his son in a car accident on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Reports indicate that the young boy named Adam was the adopted son of the CP and has been raised by the police chief since the age of two.

A source told Saharareporters, “Adam was not his (Tunji Disu’s) biological son but he raised him since he was two years old. Adam was 33 years old and had just completed his NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) programme last year.

“He died in a ghastly auto accident while driving alone in a BMW car,” another source said.

“The car caught fire as it rolled over after entering a ditch.”

The heartbreaking news has elicited condolences from friends, colleagues and Nigerians.

CP Disu was paying a condolence visit to CSP A.A. Sambo, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ushafa Division, whose son had recently passed away when he received the news of his own son’s death.

It is unclear what circumstances led to his son’s death.
