Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration despite the bad impact his policies have on the people.

He described Nigerians as mischievous for giving Tinubu a nickname due to the economic hardship in the country.

As a result of the hunger and poverty experienced by Nigerians, the nickname “T-Pain” has been coined to describe President Tinubu.

During an interview on Channels TV, Onanuga reiterated that Tinubu did not come to inflict pain on the citizens but to “repair the economy.”

He also revealed that the president is unaware of the nickname as he does not read social media.

“The President is aware that the citizens are going through some difficulties,” but he is not aware that some persons have labelled him T-Pain on social media as “the President does not read what is on social media.

Some people have also responded and called the president a different name. So, as far as I am concerned, it is a non-issue. Some people, out of mischief, just say somebody is a T-Pain. He (Tinubu) is not T-Pain,” he said.
