Tinubu sleeps by 5 a.m - Dare reveals, saying he deserves credit for fuel subsidy removal

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communications and Orientation, Sunday Dare has hailed President Bola Tinubu for his removal of fuel subsidy.

He made the disclosure in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today as he encouraged Nigerians to exercise patience with the current administration.

According to him, the president is working tirelessly to fix the pressing issues and make good on his promise to Nigerians.

“Tinubu is adept at governance. [He is] a man who burns the midnight oil when other men of easy virtue are carousing around.

“This is a man I worked with for seven years and we sleep at 4, 5, 6 in the morning,” the former minister of sports and youth development said.

He stressed the fuel subsidy removal was an audacious move that other administrations shied away from.

He said his principal took the road less traveled by rolling out those policies.

Despite the harsh effects of those programs, Dare said what Tinubu had been doing was trying to fix the problem.

Recall that protests over the harsh economic conditions were held in August this year and another one in October as part of a push to make the president reconsider the policies.

Although Tinubu acknowledged the difficulties posed by his administration’s reforms, he has stuck to them, calling on Nigerians to be patient as they would yield dividends in due time.
