The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said President Bola Tinubu cannot be distracted by the coalition of disgruntled politicians.
Onanuga said this after a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai; former vice president, Atiku Abubakar; and former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, announced a coalition to unseat Tinubu in 2027.
The coalition also voiced criticism of the state of emergency declared by Tinubu in Rivers State, which suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Reacting, Onanuga described the coalition as a congregation of sore losers.
“He cannot be distracted by the so-called coalition of politicians. They are not politicians after the Public Good. It’s all about their self-interest,” he wrote on X.
“They are disgruntled. They are a frustrated lot. The leaders are sore losers. The coalition is an amalgam of Tinubu haters. Their agenda is to stop Tinubu.”
