Activist Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan has expressed concern over the recent report about President Bola Tinubu’s relationship with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of America, as published by Saharareporters.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Saharareporters published an article describing President Bola Tinubu as an active asset of the CIA following a post shared by investigative journalist David Hundeyin.
According to Hundeyin, three US agencies, namely the FBI, CIA and DEA filed their defence against the summary judgment concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s drug trafficking investigation records.
He wrote, ““In the filing, the CIA effectively confirmed that Nigeria's sitting president is an active CIA asset.”
Hundeyin further indicated that, “As such, confirming or denying the existence of records on a particular foreign national, like Tinubu could reasonably be expected to cause damage to U.S. national security by indicating whether or not the CIA maintained any human intelligence sources related to Tinubu, and identifying any access or lack of access any such sources had to intelligence concerning him.”
He added that the DEA's filing included a paragraph that said: "We oppose full, unredacted disclosure of the DEA's Bola Tinubu heroin trafficking investigation records because we believe that while Nigerians have a right to be informed about what their government is up to, they do not have a right to know what their president is up to.”
These claims have sparked massive uproar among Nigerians, amplifying the voices of concerned citizens who worry about the actions of President Tinubu since he assumed office.
VeryDarkMan joined many Nigerians to lament the consequences of Tinubu’s involvement in drug dealings and his relationship with the US agencies.
He said, “Although I have not verified this news, it was Saharareporters that posted it. Now if this news is true that the US actually said this, then this is a very big problem. Our hardship and sufferings just continue because you know one thing about the western world, they don’t want Africa to prosper no matter what. If they are boldly saying it which I haven’t verified, I saw it on Sahara, if they are boldly saying that he is an active asset, then just know that we are in for doom.
The economy cannot be stable if this news is true. Because these people will never want Africa to be as great as them. So, all these fuel prices will continue to increase. The exchange rate will continue to increase, our country will be in shambles before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu leaves.
It means that even if Tinubu tries to make this country better, these people will send him an errand. It means that Tinubu is their houseboy if all these things are true. This is messy. They are also saying according to Saharareporters that Tinubu was involved in drug dealing in 1992.
Most of the people that were into drug dealing around the world, like Pablo Escobar, El- Chapo and the rest are all US assets at the end of the day.”
