Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo for securing a truce in the Ethiopia crisis.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Obasanjo secured a surprising win in hostile Ethiopia.

The 85-year-old former President of Nigeria and head of state led the team that announced an end of hostilities in Ethiopia.

This move would end the conflict that has killed and displaced millions of people.

In a statement on his official Twitter platform on Thursday, November 3, Tinubu hailed his efforts in stabilizing the African continent.

His statement reads in part: “It is hoped that the process results, ultimately, in the permanent resolution of the conflict and a full commitment to the cause of unity, restoration, and development.”
