Veteran actress Kate Henshaw has lamented the inflation that has pushed more Nigerians deeper into poverty.
Nigerians have protested the recent hike in fuel prices by the NNPC.
In a post on social media, she expressed her dissatisfaction with the state of the economy by simply writing: "Naija's inflation scoffs at Newton & Einstein."
On Wednesday, October 9, Nigerians woke up to a change in pump prices in Lagos and Abuja as filling stations owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC) increased the price of fuel.
The product, which previously sold for N897 in Abuja, now sells for N1,030.
According to Daily Trust, the NNPC outlet in Maitama observed long lines of motorists waiting to purchase fuel amidst complaints.
In Lagos, fuel that previously sold for N885 per liter is now being sold for N998, also causing long lines.
This change comes 24 hours after Daily Trust reported a likely increase in pump prices due to NNPC's exit as a middleman in the Dangote Refinery purchase deal.
