Sowore alleges Alison-Madueke rented a yacht she owns to Jay-Z and Beyoncé

Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has alleged that embattled former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke owned a yacht and rented it out to prominent people including American billionaire celebrity couple Jay-Z and Beyonce.

The former presidential candidate made this known in a teaser of Chude Jideonwo’s upcoming documentary ‘Is It Your Money?: The Story of Diezani Alison-Madueke.’

Speaking, Sowore said, “All the revelations that came out of the Diezani story by now, should have become a movie. Buying a yacht with the money of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and riding it around, renting it out to Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé. I think that is more brazen.”

Alison-Madueke served as Nigeria’s petroleum minister between 2010 and 2015 under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The first female Minister of Petroleum in Nigeria is currently facing multiple corruption charges both at home and abroad.

The British police charged Madueke with bribery offences, saying they suspected she had accepted bribes in return for awarding multi-million pound oil and gas contracts.
