Ahead of the Valentine Day celebrations, the National Agency for the Control of AIDS has admonished Nigerians to engage in safe sexual relations.
This message was circulated via their twitter handle @NACANigeria, as they urged Nigerians to abstains from pre-marital sex and know their HIV status
Advocating for an HIV free Val, Nigerians were advised to "Abstain from premarital sex, be faithful to their partners, not share sharp objects nor accept an unscreened blood transfusion, all pregnant mothers were advised to attend an antenatal clinic and get tested for HIV."
The video noted that HIV test is free nationwide, as they admonished Nigerians to share love and not HIV.

In a similar vein, Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Health, Oreoluwa Finnih circulated a banner on Twitter that educated the public on HIV/AIDS.
With a caption over the banner, she tweeted: "HIV/AIDS is real pls"
