Controversial afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has shared his experience at Panti Maximum Prison to shed light on the poor conditions of prisons in the country.
In an Instagram video, Kuti recounted the circumstances that led to him sharing a prison cell with a prison warder who had been convicted of helping two inmates escape.
His comments come after widespread reactions to a leaked audio recording in which Bobrisky claimed to have bribed officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have money laundering charges against him dropped.
The popular crossdresser has since denied the existence of the audio recording.
"The kidnappers have been arrested and put in Kirikiri and the kidnappers always give the man(prison warder) money so he could allow them to see their girlfriends. He takes them out to have a drink and do everything then he brings them back," Seun narrated his ordeal in a video.
"One day, the kidnappers now told the man they wanted to escape. This thing happened when I was in my cell. These two boys and the prison warder. After telling the man they wanted to escape, they now paid the man, I dont know how much it was but the man was paid."
"After the payment, the man now carried them out of the place and they escaped. The man released the kidnappers and killers," he concluded.
