SGF office to spend N545m on furniture, 3 photocopiers, another N1.4bn to repair vehicles

A review of the 2025 proposed budget has shown that the Office of the Secretary-General of the Federation plans to spend N545 million on photocopying machines and office furniture.

As per details of the proposed budget, the government plans to spend N545 million on “three heavy duty photocopiers and office furniture."

Other amounts proposed in the SGF budget include N100 million for Independence Day celebrations, a sum of N1.4 billion is budgeted for the renovation of the pool of vehicles at the Office of the Secretary General of the federation.

The details include; five Toyota Jeeps, five 4WD pick-up double cabin vehicles, and eight numbers of saloon cars.

A sum of N1.2 billion is budgeted for construction of SGF annex office (presidential aides wings).

Another N1 billion is budgeted for the provision of project buses, listed as six numbers coaster buses and five numbers 18-seater Toyota buses).

Another sum of N300 million is budgeted for digitalization at the office of the secretary to the government of the federation and other records.

There have been concerns about prudence in the expenditure of the government amid complaints on poor revenue and poor economy.

Recently, SaharaReporters reported that a review of the proposed 2025 budget currently before the National Assembly showed that the government plans to spend N298.3 million on renovating the Vice President's Guest House in 2025.

The development is even as the state plans another N466.8 million for renovation of Vice President quarters at the State House, Presidential Villa.
