President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will likely return to Nigeria on Monday, April ahead of the battle for the leadership positions of the National Assembly heats up among the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers-elect.
Recall that Tinubu travelled to Europe to take rest after a rigorous election which produced him as president-elect of the country.
According to The Punch a source said that Tinubu will return on Monday, to address the lawmakers-elect and the battle for leadership before his inauguration on May 29.
It was said that the president-elect may also cancel his trip to London and Saudi Arabia for Umrah in order to handle issues of the 10th National Assembly.
The source said: "We heard that Asiwaju has cancelled his Umrah trip and may return to Nigeria on Monday.
“Although we were not told the reason, I suspect that it must be in connection with the manner in which Kalu, Akpabio and (Jibrin) Barau are giving the APC sleepless nights with their lobbying campaigns.”
