Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party was overwhelmed with the show of love from Taraba residents during his visit to the flood victims in the state.

In a video making rounds, the residents could not contain their joy and excitement at the sight of Peter Obi, as they rushed towards him with songs of praise.

Some of the residents who rushed to hug him, received a warm embrace in return, while others chanted his name "Obi".

The security and other protocols surrounding the former Anambra state governor struggled to make their way through the crowd.

Recall that Peter Obi suspended his campaign in other to sympathise with the flood victims across the country.

He took it upon himself to visit and show support to the people affected by the flood in various states.

Many who were stunned by the massive joy from the northern residents took to social media to share their thoughts.
