Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has reacted to the news of the death of Uwaila Omozuwa who was raped inside a branch of his church in Benin, Edo State.

Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100 level student of Microbiology in UNIBEN, was raped and bashed with a fire extinguisher in the head by unknown men.

She was found in serious condition inside the church from where she was rushed to a hospital where she died.

The act against the girl has now been condemned by Pastor Adeboye who took to Twitter hours ago.

He also revealed that he is working with relevant authorities towards bringing the perpetrators to book

He tweeted: "All I can do at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa and do everything possible working with relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. I and members of my Family condemn this act strongly and urge everyone to stay calm as we are already looking into the matter and cooperating with the police to establish the facts of the shocking incident. #justiceforuwa".
