Some All Progressives Congress (APC) youths have reportedly opened gunfire at the ongoing governorship primary election of the party in Ondo state.
This is as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was said to lead the ongoing governorship primary, which Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State headed.
According to Leadership, four APC governorship aspirants in the state have called for the cancellation of the primary election, alleging that the Ododo-led seven-man rigged it.
The aspirants ask the party's national leadership to remove the Ododo-led committee immediately.
They add that they no longer trust the committee's ability to conduct a free and fair election following the controversy that marred the exercise.

171,922 accredited APC members would participate in the direct primary election exercise.
The poll is expected to be held at 203 wards of 18 local government areas of the state. In the poll, 16 aspirants, including the incumbent Aiyedatiwa, contested for the party ticket.
Speaking to reporters at the BON Hotel in Akure, the Ondo state capital, on Saturday, April 20, the four candidates, led by Barrister Gbenga Edema, said that the ongoing exercise was not free and fair. The situation should be handled with care because the election outcome would determine the party's fate in November.
