Nigerian defender Ola Aina has advised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on what to do to win the Premier League title.

The Gunners have come close to ending their long wait for an EPL title in the last two seasons but have fallen short in the most crucial moments, relinquishing the title to Manchester City on both occasions.

Arsenal last won the Premier League during the Invincibles era in the 2003/2004 season under Arsene Wenger and are currently in third position, six points behind leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand.

Nottingham Forest defender Aina believes what Mikel Arteta's side needs to change their status from title contenders to winners is squad depth.

“They’ve finished second for two seasons now. I think they need depth. Squad depth. They’re competing in several competitions, and you need players for that,” he said on the Filthy Fellas Podcast.

Aina has been in good form for Nottingham Forest this season, with the 28-year-old netting two goals in 17 Premier League appearances for the Tricky Trees.
