The Federal government has ordered the removal of all billboards nationwide with the inscription, "All Eyes on the Judiciary".
According to reports, the government also dissolved the Advertising Standard Panel (ASP) secretariat over its approval of the advert.
This was announced by Dr Olalekan Fadolepo, the Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, on Tuesday, August 15.
He said; "The Advertising Standards Panel did not approve the exposed concepts; hence, the council has directed that all the exposed materials be brought down immediately and the violators sanctioned."
This comes following the election petition by opposition parties, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
The two presidential candidates are challenging President Bola Tinubu's victory in the 2023 election.
As Nigerians await the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, supporters of the opposition parties stormed the streets with billboards with the inscription, "All Eyes on the Judiciary".
However, the federal government disapprove of the billboards and ordered the removal.
Supporters have now taken to social media to reveal their latest plan of printing fliers, stickers, t-shirts and others.
