Activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has waded into the conversation about the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
On his social media page on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Adeyanju stated that Tinubu should have released Kanu a long time ago instead of keeping him in detention.
Adeyanju expressed disappointment at seeing Tinubu continue the “lawlessness” of former President Muhammadu Buhari by attempting to imprison Kanu.
He wrote: “Tinubu should have released Nnamdi Kanu since. Continuing Buhari’s lawlessness is disappointing.”
“It is easier to criticize than to govern. This is why critics are usually bad leaders and examples abound all over the world and Africa. If in doubt, look at APC.”
