Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has agreed to join English Women’s Super League club, Everton, according to reports.

The 24-year-old is set to end her five-year stay in France and will join her international teammate, Toni Payne at the Merseyside club.

According to SCORENigeria, Nnadozie has entered into a pre-contract agreement with Everton.

Nnadozie linked up with Paris FC from Nigeria Women Football League outfit Rivers Angels in 2000.

Meanwhile, Nnadozie has been named in the Arkema Première Ligue Team of the Season for a consecutive campaign after another standout run with Paris FC.

Nnadozie made history last season as the first Nigerian to earn the honour and also made the list as the only Paris FC player. However, this year, she is joined by club teammates Clara Matéo and Kessya Bussy.

She helped Paris FC seal a playoff spot as well as a UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification after they finished third in the regular season with 45 points.

The 24-year-old is also in contention for the Goalkeeper of the Season prize, an award she also claimed during a remarkable run last year.

This season, she has kept 11 clean sheets in 18 appearances — the second-best record in the division, behind Lyon’s Christiane Endler, who registered 13.

The 2018 WAFCON winner also distinguished herself as the only player to win the Player of the Month award more than once this term.

Paris Saint-Germain and England goalkeeper Mary Earps, who managed eight clean sheets, completes the three-woman shortlist for the prestigious award.

Nnadozie, twice crowned CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, suffered an injury during Paris FC’s 4-0 win over Fleury 91 in their final regular season match but the Nigerian shot-stopper remains hopeful of recovering in time for the Coupe de France Féminine final against city rivals Paris Saint-Germain on May 3 at Stade de l’Epopée in Calais.

After that clash, Paris FC and PSG are also set to meet again in the semifinals of the Première Ligue playoff on May 11, with the winner advancing to the final to face either Lyon or Dijon, as she hopes to end her stay in France on a high.
