The Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has described Nigerians as large-hearted people and that they will forgive President Buhari.

In a statement addressed to Nigerians, President Muhammadu Buhari apologised to to the citizens and all those he may have hurt in one way or the other during his time in office.

“Whoever thought that there had been some form of injustice on him, we are all human; there is no doubt I hurt some people, and I wish they’d pardon me; those who think I hurt them so much, please PARDON ME”. – PMB

Speaking on the president's apology, Shehu said in an interview with Channels TV on Friday, April 21, that Nigerians have a large heart to forgive the president.

Responding, Garba said;

"I believe that Nigerians are large-hearted and they would forgive the President."
