Nigerians and Ivorians clash in Ghana

Four persons arrested

A clash occurred between Nigerians and Ivorians at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange.

According to reports, the Ivorian had set up his shop under the interchange, a space typically used by a Nigerian.

Upon being informed, the Nigerian quickly arrived and forcibly removed the Ivorian’s belongings.

In retaliation, the Ivorian threw away the Nigerian’s goods, sparking a physical altercation.

The conflict escalated as more of their fellow countrymen joined in.

A video shared on social media by UTV showed men engaging in a heated argument.

Both Nigerian and Ivorian traders sustained injuries during the brawl.

The Ghana Police Service intervened to quell the fight, resulting in the arrest of four individuals involved in the clash.
