Segun Adewale of Aeroland Travels has slammed the Nigerian leaders of today, saying they are only out to amass wealth.
He lamented that they are fond of imposing taxes on the masses without providing adequate services and infrastructure.
Adewale said such could not be said of the leaders of the past who fought for the people.
He wrote on Facebook, "Nigeria's founding fathers, like Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Tafawa Balewa, were truly selfless leaders who prioritized the country's development and its people's well-being. They weren't driven by personal gain or materialism, unlike many of today's leaders.
"These pioneers fought for Nigeria's independence and worked tirelessly to build a strong foundation for the country. They invested in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, laying the groundwork for Nigeria's growth and prosperity.
"In contrast, many of today's leaders seem more focused on accumulating wealth and power. They impose taxes on citizens without providing adequate services or infrastructure in return. It's alarming to see how disconnected they are from the needs and struggles of everyday Nigerians.
"The difference between these two generations of leaders is stark. The founding fathers were driven by a sense of duty and responsibility to their country and its people. They worked to create opportunities, promote economic growth, and ensure that Nigerians had access to basic necessities like healthcare and education.
"It's time for Nigeria to rediscover the values and principles that guided its founding fathers. The country needs leaders who will prioritize its people, invest in their development, and work towards creating a brighter future for all Nigerians."
