Following the death threats received by Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Obidients have taken to social media to issue stern warnings to the individuals responsible.

Peter Obi earlier revealed that he has been receiving death threats following his criticisms of President Bola Tinubu’s government in his New Years Day message to Nigerians.

He questioned whether he had crossed the line after APC official Felix Morka accused him of doing so and warned that he would face the consequences of his actions.

Supporters of Peter Obi have since taken to social media to express their disgust at the threats from some individuals, especially from the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Social media user @miss_natural taunted the APC for the threats against Peter Obi. She warned that if anything happened to him, they would answer to Nigerians.

She said, “Does Peter Obi resemble Dele Farotimi in your eyes? This Felix Morka, APC Publicity Secretary, don’t you fear? It looks like you don’t respect us until that day comes, then we will know who owns Nigeria, whether it is us or you people.

See a blackman saying Peter Obi has crossed the line because he is reminding the government of their duty. He is reminding you crooks that people are dying of hunger. Is that the line Peter Obi has crossed that is bothering you people?

If he has crossed the line, you will manage him? The devil will manage you. You are threatening Peter Obi? I dare you people. We dare all of you. Let anything happen to that man's hair. We triple dare you people. Let anything happen to Peter Obi. Let one of his black shirts get lost, and you people will answer to Nigerians.

Look at how people are dying in stampede because of hunger, but no, Peter Obi is your problem.”

Architect Uche Rochas wrote on his X page, “If anything happens to Peter Obi, whether politically motivated or not, I repeat, if even a scratch touches him, Nigeria will never be the same again. The consequences will be both catastrophic and brutal for Nigeria and her 1914 almagamation.
He’s a law abiding citizen, he has not overstepped any boundaries and there are threats to his life.

@GhenghisKhan01: Regardless of whatever , the FG by no right should attempt to harm @PeterObi or anyone in his family, it will be cataclysmic to the entity called Nigeria. Make them ignore am oooo abeg

@U_Rochas: Any fight, witch hunt or anything against Peter Obi is a fight against the Igbo’s and we will defend him with all we have. (So therefore) leave Peter Obi alone.
