The Libya Football Federation (LFF) has rejected CAF's verdict on the botched African Cup of Nations qualifier match involving Nigeria and Libya.
The Disciplinary Committee of CAF awarded the Super Eagles three points and three goals in its ruling on Saturday, October 25.
This comes against the backdrop of the abandoned match, which was scheduled to be held at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Tuesday, October 15.
The Super Eagles' contingents boycotted the game after being left stranded at Al Abraq Airport for over 16 hours.
The Disciplinary Board of CAF also fined Libya $50,000 for breaching Article 31 of the African Cup of Nations regulations and Articles 82 and 151 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
Reacting to the verdict, the LFF, through its president Nasser Al-Suwaie, rejected the sanctions imposed on Libya.
Al-Suwaie believes the ruling was "unfair and malicious," fueled by pressure from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He added that the LFF will appeal the verdict at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
