The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country has recorded 53 new cases of the novel coronavirus.

This was disclosed in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

The new cases bring to total the number of infected persons in the country to 165,612 while 2,066 deaths have been recorded.
