'NAFDAC approved Rizla yet police arrested me for having it' - Nigerian cries out

A Nigerian has expressed his anger at the Nigerian Police for arresting him for the possession of Rizla.

Rizla is a rolling paper in which tobacco, or marijuana, or a mixture, is rolled to make handmade joints and cigarettes.

In a video making rounds, a young man bitter for been harassed by the police for having rizla on him, said the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) approved the sale of rizla in the country.

Lamenting his ordeal, the young man quizzed why he was arrested when the NAFDAC number was placed on the product.

NAFDAC is a Nigerian federal agency under the Federal Ministry of Health that is responsible for regulating and controlling the manufacture, importation, exportation, advertisement, distribution, sale, and use of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, and packaged water.

As a result, no product can be legally sold in the country without the authorization of the agency.
