Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has responded to those who are against the planned nationwide protest scheduled to take place from August 1-10.
He pointed out that the Naira has significantly decreased in value due to poor policies under President Bola Tinubu’s government, making it almost worthless.
This, he believes, is reason enough to warrant a protest.
In an interview with Vanguard, Adeyanju expressed his concerns by stating, "N100,000 is the new N10,000 and you say people should not protest. The Naira is almost worthless because of bad policies."
The activist emphasised that "the real organizers of the protest are hunger, poverty and corruption."
Nigerians are coming together fo a nationwide protest to challenge issues such as bad governance, inflation, high cost of living, insecurity and other crisis affecting the country.
