Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla reportedly made plans to extract their two Super Eagles stars, Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho, from Al Abraq Airport after the team was left stranded for over 16 hours following their arrival in Libya for the AFCON qualifiers.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that the Rojiblancos were making flight arrangements for the duo amid the heightened uncertainties surrounding the qualifier against the North Africans.

The Super Eagles contingent was left stranded at the airport without food, drink, or internet for several hours after touching down in Libya on Sunday afternoon for the return fixture of their AFCON qualifiers clash against the Mediterranean Knights.

The harsh treatment by the host prompted the team to boycott the game and return home to Nigeria. The match was scheduled to be held on Tuesday night in Benghazi, Libya.

Sevilla faces a daunting prospect this weekend as they travel away to face league leaders FC Barcelona in Montjuïc.

It is understandable why the club wanted to speed up the arrival of their key players ahead of the crucial fixture.

The Rojiblancos are currently 12th in La Liga with 12 points after nine games.
