A suspected robber was tied to an electricity transformer in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital in the early hours of Wednesday, May 17.

The Adamawa State News Flash reports that the unidentified robber is a serial robber who has been stealing cables from the community until he was eventually caught red-handed.

The suspected thief was caught in possession of some tools he deploys in his operation.

As a punitive measure, the irate mob who nabbed the robber tied him to the metal frame of an electricity transformer.

It remains unclear if he was handed over to the police for further action to be taken.
