Lagos is smelling: What Mark Zuckerberg, Harry and Meghan Markle said when they visited Lagos - Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has slammed all those who love to go on social media to say "Lagos is smelling."

In a post on Facebook, Omokri recalled what Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, and Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle said about the city when they visited.

This was as he urged other Nigerians visiting the city to respect the host and not take the tolerance of the indigenous for weakness.

He wrote, "Please fact-check me: Mark Zuckerberg, one of the wealthiest men on Earth and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both visited Lagos and said the city was one of the best destinations they had visited. And that is not a surprise, seeing as Lagos was rated by TimeOut Magazine of London as the 19th best city in the world to live in.

"The people of the Southwest are accommodating and tolerant. If you leave your state to some other zones to tell them that their states are smelling, their reactions will differ from how Lagosians reacted. But sadly, many of us see tolerance as ignorance and thereby display their arrogance.

"Of course, if you have lived in a rural area all your life and have moved to Lagos for the first time ever, things will seem different to you. Lagos is a coastal state. The air is different from that of an arid or mountainous region.

"But as Scripture says: "Wisdom is profitable to direct."-Ecclesiastes 10:10."
