The nationwide protest against bad governance, hunger, and hardships in the country have begun in some states.
In Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, protesters have gathered to express their grievances following the crisis in the country.
Despite several attempts by the government to convince Nigerians to shelve the protest, many youths are out on the streets demanding answers to their requests.
The protesters are holding placards with the inscription, “cut the cost of governance,” and “end bad governance” and they chant solidarity songs as they embark on the peaceful protest.
In Lagos, a few people have been spotted protesting amid heavy security personnel scattered around the city.
In Rivers State, no protesters have been spotted on the streets at the time, although there are expectations that Nigerian youths will join the protest.
Reports state that there are no businesses opened, the streets are deserted with about five persons protesting in Rivers.
