The Majority Leader of Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Labaran Abdul-Madari has been removed and replaced by his Deputy, Alhaji Kabiru Hassan-Dashi.
This came after Alhaji Muhammad Uba-Gurjiya, also an APC member moved a motion of urgent public importance presented against Abdul-Madari.
Ali Ibrahim-Shanono, a lawmaker representing Bagwai/Shanono LGA seconded the motion.
The removal process was presided over by the Speaker, Abdulazeez Garba-Gafasa.
The decision to remove the majority leader was accompanied by 23 out of the 28 APC members in the 40-member Chamber.
Alhaji Hamza Massu nominated the deputy majority leader to be elected as the majority leader.
The order of proceedings was accepted and adopted by the State Housse assembly.
