There has been massive commendation for Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi after he announced that education will be made free for female indigenes in state-owned institutions.

This includes primary education, secondary education, and up to the PhD level, irrespective of their chosen field of study. Each student will also receive an annual incentive of N60,000.

Governor Umar Namadi believes this initiative will empower women through education and ensure that financial barriers no longer hinder their academic aspirations.

Stunned by this, a former presidential aide expressed his excitement at the initiative and commended the Jigawa State Governor.

On his X page, Ahmad wrote, “Wow. Jigawa has made education absolutely free for female indigenes in the state-owned institutions, from primary school to the PhD level, regardless of their chosen field of study with each enrolled student receiving an annual incentive of N60,000. Great initiative by Governor @UANamadi. Commendable!”
