Nigerians on social media have reacted to the news report that the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde purchased bicycles to ease the movement of civil servants within the state secretariat.
The bicycles called "keke Seyi" was rolled out on Wednesday, March 11, 2021, at the main entrance of the state secretariat.
The price of each of the bikes cannot be confirmed at the time of filing this report.
The governor's former special assistant on digital media and social media influencer, whom he sacked last year, Murtala Adigun, also known as Adigun Ibadan, wrote on his Facebook page, "GSM has just provided the best means of transportation for the civil servants within the state secretariat."
Reacting to his statement, a Facebook user, Saheed Osupa said, "I am tired of this Seyi Makinde."

Has the government check the officials BMI, otherwise if the fall on the bike, you open floodgates for litigation. My sister backside will break the seat, too tiny for her, i'm worried. Thanks

Nothing wrong with this really. No bad done picking up small wins while working on big goals. Most developed countries ride bicycles a lot to reduce carbon emission, burn fat and avoid traffic.

There is nothing bad in riding a bicycle to work, not everybody will drive a car in life time. A lot of people do ride bicycle to work in developed country like UK,Russia etc. So what is special about ours, is also a way to disconggest our road. School pupil need it @seyiamakinde

He is health conscious. This will prevent risk from obesity, sedentary lifestyle, diabetes, atherosclerosis etc among civil servants. Professionals use bicycles a lot overseas.
