The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has expressed sadness at the situation in the southeast, which has resulted in many deaths and several arrests

Kanu lamented that enemies of the Igbo people have exploited his detention to attack villages in the Southeast.

The IPOB leader pointed out that no one would dare to attack any Igbo community in the Southeast if he were free.

He made these comments during his regular meeting with his legal team, led by Lead Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.

In a statement issued on X, Ejimakor wrote,

“UPDATE: During our visitation with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu yesterday, he lamented that enemies of the Igbo race have taken advantage of his illegal detention to unleash coordinated attacks on defenseless villagers.

Because had he been a free man, no entity would have dared carry out such an audacious attack against peaceful farming communities in Igbo land. Gbuo dike, gbuo dike, ihe ike ruo achowa dike is an Igbo adage and it’s apt at this time.”
