Entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has reacted to the comment made by Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s spokesman, accusing Peter Obi of being behind the upcoming nationwide protest.

Nigerians across the country continue to lament the hardships affecting citizens. As a result, a protest has been announced to alert the government of the bad economic policies that have negatively impacted the public.

Onanuga took to X, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, to blame Peter Obi and his supporters for trying to cause chaos in the country with the protest scheduled for the end of July and to continue in August.

According to Yunusa Tanko, who posted on his social media, a report from Peter Obi Media Reach claims that the protest allegations were a set up to arrest Peter Obi.

In reaction, Charly Boy raised concerns over government’s plan to attack Obi for the planned protest, which is a result of the hardship under Tinubu’s administration.

Charly Boy challenged the presidency to arrest Obi and see the consequences.

Explaining his thoughts in pidgin, Charly Boy wrote, “Abeg I wan understand something, so Nigerians – BAT supporters join – wan gather protest against Tinubu’s bad government and horrible tenure, but na Peter Obi dem wan hold accountable by arresting am? Okay na!!

“Let’s go! Make una try that arrest and see what will happen as una think say una dey untouchable therefore can do anything. We dey dey look and wait”.
