Nigerian international Victor Osimhen shared his thoughts on Galatasaray's hard-fought victory over Samsunspor in the Super Lig.

The 25-year-old scored his second consecutive brace to help his side secure a 3-2 win at Rams Park on Sunday, November 10.

The Super Eagles striker gave his side the lead in the 3rd minute of the game and restored the lead in the 55th minute after Olivier Ntcham cancelled out his goal from the spot.

In a post-match reaction, the reigning African Footballer of the Year highlighted the importance of the victory heading into the international break.

“The win was important. We will go to the national teams, and it has given us self-confidence,” he told the club’s official website.

“We have the power to win every match when we return. We got a very important victory. I am very happy at Galatasaray, the fans love me very much. I present the victory to them.”

Osimhen has so far registered eight goals and four assists in nine appearances across all competitions since joining Galatasaray in early September.
