Popular cleric, Femi Lazarus and singer Timi Dakolo have smoked the peace pipe after what appeared to be a social media confrontation.
The dispute began when Pastor Lazarus, in a sermon over the weekend, revealed the extravagant demands of a well-known gospel musician in Nigeria. In the viral video, he displayed a document showing that the artist required a minimum of $10,000 for a performance.
Reacting to the revelation, Dakolo accused the pastor of hypocrisy, alleging that he charged $150 per person for his ministry school while criticizing gospel artists for doing the same. He questioned why Lazarus would condemn musicians for charging fees while profiting from his own religious teachings.
However, in a positive turn of events, both men were seen together in a photo alongside Pastor Emmanuel Iren, indicating they had settled their differences.
In a social media post, Lazarus praised Dakolo, calling him a "music legend" who genuinely advocates for the welfare of musicians.
"My brother @timidakolo is a music legend. Give him his flowers. What a man! He genuinely carries the burdens of musicians. His concerns are real. I love you," he wrote.
He also acknowledged the need for better structures within the industry, emphasizing that both hosts and guests must strive for improvement.
"This generation will not carry over pain. Hosts will do better. Guests will do better. Together, we will build a better nation," he added.
Their reconciliation has been well received by fans, with many commending both men for handling the situation with maturity.
