Arise TV co-host Rufai Oseni clashed with Olalere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Communication to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike regarding the recent demolition spree by the FCTA.
The clash occurred on live TV after Olayinka was invited to defend the Federal Capital Territory Administrations in a "Right of Reply" on the revocation and demolition of lands owned by construction company Paullosa Nigeria Limited.
During the conversation, Olayinka advised Oseni to be cautious with his choice of words, as Oseni referred to the FCTA as "you guys" during questioning.
The tension escalated when Olayinka tried to correct Oseni and encouraged him to use accurate language when addressing the institution.

Rufai Oseni: What was the condition in the terms you guys gave them for the regularization of the land in the first place? What conditions? What amount were they meant to pay? I want to hear from the horse's mouth. What were the conditions when you...
Mr Oseni Rufai, using the word 'you guys' on us is insulting.
Rufai Oseni:: No, you guys, I mean the FCDA Commission, the minister and all of that, alright?
Olalere Olayinka: Eh, eh, eh, use the correct words as a journalist on a respected media organization.
Rufai Oseni: Mr. Larry Olayinka, you can't come here and teach me my job. I'm coming. Please, with your respect, I will not come and encroach on your job because you came in here and you said also you can't come and teach me.
Olalere Olayinka: I can teach you your job because I am your senior
Rufai Oseni: It's not about age. I'm just asking you questions. Just answer the question Mr. Olayinka. All right.
Olalere Olayinka: I said I am your senior on this job so I can teach you.
Rufai Oseni: Answer the question. You guys are talking about the FCDA. What were the terms of the contract? Just go ahead, please.
Olalere Olayinka: I'm answering your question. And to answer your question, I can also teach you because I am your senior on this job.
Rufai Oseni: I mean, it's not a case of age or seniority here. Just answer the question.
Olalere Olayinka: The condition. This is the letter written to that company. This is the letter written to the company and the conditions are well stated. Pay GANV rent, pay this, pay this and I can see the condition as there. You pay.
Olayinka and his principal have faced criticism after Paullosa Nigeria Limited and other property owners accused them of attempting to demolish their properties.
According to him, the construction company had occupied the land located at Plot No 2241, Gwarimpa District, Cadastral Zone C02, Abuja, with a temporary R-of-O granted 40 years ago in 1984. He added that while the company applied for conversion to a statutory Right of Occupancy, it had failed to comply with certain conditions for the issuance, for the past 20 months.
