A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe, has encouraged Nigerians to trust President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, saying the reforms implemented will benefit everyone soon.
Igbokwe made this statement in a post on Facebook as the administration marks one year in office.
Today, May 29, marks one year since Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the oath of office as the president of Nigeria, the largest black nation on earth.
Tinubu was sworn in as the fifth democratically elected president since the return of democracy in 1999, following his victory in the keenly contested 2023 presidential election.
Applauding Tinubu's efforts since he became president, the chieftain said, "The 36 Governors and the 774 LGAs are receiving more money now from the Federation Account, but you may not be aware of this."
He also emphasized that the "Renewed Hope" agenda by the president remains on course, while acknowledging that Nigeria is experiencing a recession that is affecting other countries around the world.
"Please note that there is a global recession, and Nigeria is not exempt. I can assure you that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the PBAT administration is on track. Keep hope alive," he said.
Tinubu, 72, who ran on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious against his closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).

ONE YEAR OF PBAT ADMINISTRATION: IT WILL END IN PRAISE.
Today PBAT’s government is one year old. We may no have been there but I see some fundamental effort to rework and reform the systems to work for all Nigerians. The loopholes in the system are being blocked, the criminal facilitators, currency speculators, and plunderers of our national till are gradually being tamed in the seat of power, Abuja.
The freeloaders are finding it difficult to operate. The 36 Governors and the 774 LGAs are getting more money now from the Federation Account but you may not know this. Just ask your Governor and your LGA chairman to get the facts. Things may the difficult at the moment but trust PBAT. He will never fail Nigerians. The crack team of PBAT administration is working round the clock to do the needful.
GOOD MORNING NIGERIANS.
