Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has shared details on why Victor Osimhen rejected a move to Manchester United earlier this month.
Speaking to media outlet Habersarikirmizi, the football expert revealed that the 26-year-old turned down the Red Devils due to the nature of the offer the club proposed to the Nigerian international.
Sabuncuoğlu disclosed that Manchester United wanted Osimhen on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.
“I don’t think he will go on a loan transfer," he noted.
“If Galatasaray finds the money for Victor Osimhen, they will buy him. They are actively trying to secure the funds.”
Osimhen's decision to reject a move to Old Trafford reportedly infuriated Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis.
According to reports, the former Lille striker wants to see out his season-long loan spell with Galatasaray before making any decision on his future.
Osimhen has been in fine form since joining Galatasaray in early September, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists for Okan Buruk's side.
