Senator Adams Oshiomhole has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s government policies.
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics on July 21, 2024, Oshiomhole stated that he believes things will eventually work out as the policies take time to materialize.
The former Edo State Governor made this known as Nigerians plan to embark on a nationwide protest over the poor governance under President Bola Tinubu.
He said: "You have to agree that some of the policy initiatives will require more than a year to materialise.
"What would the president gain by resorting to policy choices that are unlikely to deliver comfort in the long run?
"So, I think for me, it is about having faith that in the long run, these things will work out."
This comes after the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), reported that inflation figures reached 34.19 per cent in June 2024.
Many Nigerians have taken to the streets to express their frustration over the rising food prices, increased fuel costs, and the fluctuating naira.
They lament their inability to provide for themselves and their families.
