Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele joined the Flashback Friday trend by sharing nostalgic photos on Instagram, featuring throwback moments with fellow actresses Doris Simon and Empress Njamah.
“Hmmm. Don’t swipe!! If you do, then tag them!!”, she wrote.
The post came after Ijoba Lande’s recent accusation regarding Funke’s payment to him, which he has since apologised for and clarified was taken out of context.
Prior to the apology, he said: “When I got there, someone who introduced self as Wendy brought a document, and I was asked to sign. After reading, I saw that every month, I would be collecting 90,000, and I was already there. It is good to be educated. Had it been I am properly educated, I wouldn’t have signed it. At first, I thought it was nothing until the month ended and they paid me 90,000 for a whole month.”
However, while retracting his statement, Lande said in part: “Please help me beg aunty funke. That was not how I made the video. I didn’t do the video to tarnish your image. Aunty funke you didn’t do any wickedness. Those of you that cut video half way you aren’t good and you are wicked”.
