Former France international Thierry Henry has revealed that Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise is eager to represent the French national team.

Despite his impressive performance for the Eagles last season, which has attracted interest from top European clubs, Olise's international career remains uncertain.

Born in London to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother, the 22-year-old is eligible to play for England, France, Algeria, and Nigeria.

Having played for the French youth team, it is clear that Olise wants to feature for Les Bleus.

Thierry Henry, who has been appointed to lead the French team at the Paris Olympics, confirmed at a press conference that Olise will represent France at the international level.

"We know he has multiple options, but he wants to play for France. It's important to highlight his desire to play for the French team. If he were English, he would have already chosen to play for England. He could have opted to play in the Euros with the England team, like his Crystal Palace teammate Eberechi Eze, but he wants to play for France, despite knowing he won't feature in the Euros," the 46-year-old explained.

Olise, who began his career in the youth teams of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, has recently agreed to join Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
