The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed an accident in which a drunk driver rammed his vehicle into four soldiers attached to the Myoung Barracks in the Morocco area of Shomolu, Lagos, on Friday.

The four soldiers are feared dead while others were left with varying degrees of injuries.

MyNigeria learnt that the incident has thrown the entire military community into panic

Eyewitnesses claimed that the vehicle was ferrying three suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys.

Two of the occupants of the vehicle were immediately apprehended and beaten to stupor while the third person fled the scene after the accident.

When MyNigeria reached out to the Lagos Sector Commander of the FRSC, Kehinde Hazmat, he said details were sketchy because they involved the military .

He said, "The situation has been established. But I don't want to give you an incomplete report. I've asked my unit to go to the nearest police station to get me facts so I can put across to you.

"You know, when something has to do with the military, they make it almost covert. So, I don't want to give you information that is not genuine."
